Only an original part of this stately home including the façades is preserved with its privileged location due to its closeness to the port of Havana.
Judging by the façade with its long continuous balcony turning over the corner this must have been a special residence.
It had originally a central courtyard surrounded by a wooden gallery that gives onto the depot, the warehouses and other rooms, just after passing the hallway.
In this kind of residence that was very usual at that time, that the premises of the mezzanine of reduced surface and low prop were given over the domestic staff and in the main floor where the owners lived, had spaces of greater spaciousness and materials like marble in the floors and mahogany in the woodwork.
The building is also known as Palacio de Marques de Cardenas, title of one of its later owners.
