This is a simple building located in the old cemetery of Guanabacoa. It consists of a central nave of rough stone walls and keystones with battens and tile roofed.
In both sides of the original nave, two premises of rectangular plan were built in the 19th Century aimed at extending the religious function.
Its exterior lacks of ornaments, only the belfry with two bells stand out, as well as, the garnish of its three doors in arc form and the molding of the windows.
It is considered the oldest building of Guanabacoa and the oldest religious building kept entirely.
