Address:51, No. 10620, Esq. 108-A, Marianao
Construction date:1747 |
It is a simple construction with an only one nave with carved and ornate wood ceilings and a lateral tower; it is considered the most relevant building of its location.
Its greatest interest lies in the extraordinary precious wood carvings made in Baroque style that make up the high altar, the pulpit, the side chapel and the choir. It is said that the first belonged to San Francisco de Asis Church in Old Havana.
The main façade owns some ornamental elements characteristic of the neoclassic style among them, the pediment and the decoration of the door what make it to suppose that the original construction was remodeled in the 19th Century.
